Who On Earth Are Plastic Blingtastic?

I'm Cassie, the 'hands behind the brand.'

I have upcycled plastic and other discarded items for decades, making all kinds of plastic-based creations. Just click on the 8-second clips to discover the message behind my products.

'Tax waste, not work!'

We all know that the gap between rich and poor widens by the day, that the world faces global economic collapse, and that every year, the big corporations seem to achieve even more financial success... yet pay hardly any tax. If any. Yet it is precisely these big corporate companies, such as the toy manufacturers, fast food outlets and purveyors of 'quick hit plastic junk' who are causing a lot of the world's plastic pollution. I say: reclaim the material. Make art from it. And levy a worldwide Pollution Responsibility Tax on all of them, with no tax haven options.

Because why should the guy in the video at the top have to inhale the fumes of decaying, damp plastic in order to earn a living? Why should sea life choke on our discarded toys, straws and bags? And does Freddy need yet another giveaway toy when the true ecological cost is catastrophic to his generation? Can we re-educate ourselves to buy recycled plastic as a kind of offset for the tonnes of stuff we've chucked over the years, save our favourite toys, or come up with new uses ourselves? It seems very unfair. It's the most vulnerable: our nature, our wildlife and more rural economies - who lose out.

Let's save to save and tax the one percenters to encourage global responsibility.

Tax the waste created by wealthy companies, from toys to retail, clothing to food merchandising. Many haven't put in enough environmental checks and balances, the fly-tippers, and the charity shops that discard. donated plastic and plushies.

We can make a difference. And where it's hard to do so, slap on the tax!
